Round 7, Club Championship

Wild Tracks at Chippenham was the venue for round 7 of the Stevenage SSC championship. The morning saw the track in perfect condition thanks to some rain on and off in previous days.
By the afternoon the dust began to rise. The track is always a success, drawing in visiting riders aswell as club members.
The Inter 125’s were first out of the gate with two race wins seeing Damon Wales take 1st place. Harry Noakes came in 2nd with one race win and Richard Carter took 3rd place.
Kevin Gomm took 1st place in the Expert plus group after pushing his brother Chris hard in the final race taking 1st in the last few laps. Chris Gomm came in 2nd overall and Wayne Goodlad 3rd.
The Expert Senior group saw a maximum score for Brian Carter. Keith Gillett had two 2nd’s and a 3rd to place him in 2nd overall and Terry Minter had two 3rd’s and a 2nd to place himself in 3rd.
Day member Steve Bixby rode well to secure 1st place battling hard in races 1 and 2 with Vytautas Bucas, taking the first win on the line and leaving Vytautas to take 2nd overall. Jason Garrad took 3rd place.
Glen Fletcher was another rider to take maximum points in the Inter 100’s. Toby Harkness took 2nd place and George Redhead had two 2nd places to finish in 3rd overall.
A maximum score win in the Inter 85’s for Bradley Garrett. Good consistant riding gave Jason Moore 2nd place and Tyler Gray came in 3rd.
In the Junior’s Jordan Eccles was yet another maximum scorer. Joe Noble came in 2nd place and Jake Edey had two 2nd places to finish in 3rd overall.
Toby Avis scored maximum points in the Auto 65cc followed in 2nd place by Harvey Buttriss. Jake Barsby had a 2nd place in the last race to give him 3rd overall.
In the Auto 50cc group Jordan Dunford took 1st place. Dillon Woodcock had two race wins and finished in 2nd place and Kristian Fulstow came in 3rd.
