Wild Tracks at Chippenham was the venue for round 3 of the Stevenage Club championship. As always this venue saw a good turnout of riders and with the summer sun a good weekend was had by all.
The Auto’s took to the track first. In the 65cc auto’s Harvey Buttriss took a well deserved maximum score, Toby Avis had three 2nd’s, Jack Bagsby and Taylor Hampshire finished the day 2 points apart in 3rd and 4th respectively and Sam Beebee rode home in 5th place.
The 50cc auto’s saw another maximum win for Dillon Woodcock. Sam Oneley fought hard to secure 2nd place and Ashley Surridge finished off the top three.
Next off the line was the Juniors with Austin Eary taking top spot with two wins and a 3rd place. Patrick O’Neill won race 3 which secured him 2nd place and Sam Morgan came in 3rd.
Inter 85’s Ryan Fellows had a good day with two race wins and a 2nd, Jason Moore rode well to secure 2nd place with one race win. 3rd place went to Macauley Madden with Adam Day and Mason Law tying on the same points after some close racing.
Another maximum points win was seen in the Inter 100’s, going to Jamie Rayner. Sam Mitchell took 2nd place and one point behind gave Tom Crittenden 3rd.
Stephen Heighton took the honours in the Expert plus group with his first outing with the club this year. Consistancy paid off for Peter Eccles who secured 2nd place and the much improved Wayne Goodlad finished in 3rd place.
The Expert senior group saw some exciting racing with Paul “Wildman” Willis taking a maximum score. Pete Gilder and Keith Gillett tied on points taking 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The adult day members Paul Gwyther took 1st place with a maximum, Scott Pope was 2nd and 3rd place went to Matthew Key.
An action packed Inter 125 group saw Tom Barley complete the day in 1st place, the fast starter Mitchell Smith fought hard and got a well earned 2nd and Craig Smith secured himself 3rd place.
